The RICS Level-2 HomeBuyer Report is the UK's most popular pre-purchase survey. It follows a standardised RICS format and provides a clear, structured assessment of a property's condition using a traffic-light rating system. It is designed for conventional properties that appear to be in reasonable condition.
Is this survey right for me?
Best suited to conventional houses, flats, and bungalows built after 1900 that are in reasonable condition and have not been significantly altered. If the property is older, larger, or has obvious defects, a Level-3 Building Survey may be more appropriate.
